Most trading newsletters give you a ticker and a vibe. The Resilient Trader gives you a complete trade.

Every week, we publish one deeply researched trade idea for active retail traders: self-directed people managing their own positions who want an edge, not hand-holding. Each issue includes both a straightforward share trade and a corresponding options structure, so you can act on the idea whichever way fits your account and risk tolerance.

It's free. Subscribe here and the next issue lands in your inbox.

📊 What's in every issue

Each trade idea is a full build, not a headline. A typical issue covers:

  • The thesis. The one-line premise, then the argument behind it: fundamentals, valuation, cash flow, and what the market is mispricing.

  • Market sentiment. Analyst ratings, short interest, and positioning.

  • Technical analysis. Moving averages, support and resistance, RSI, and the levels that matter.

  • A specific entry. The price we'd pay for the shares, not "consider buying".

  • One options trade. A defined structure with strikes, expiry, cost, break-even, and a payoff table showing what happens in the good, bad, and sideways scenarios.

  • Risk management. A stop-loss level and what would invalidate the thesis.

  • Catalysts. The dated events that could move the trade.

🧠 How we pick the trade

The process is the product:

  • Sourcing. We scan institutional research, earnings, filings, and market structure all week, not social media momentum.

  • The bar. One idea per week means most ideas get cut. If nothing clears the bar, we say so rather than force a mediocre trade. A skipped week is a feature, not a failure.

  • Volatility first. Before choosing any options structure, we measure implied versus realized volatility and the term structure. Whether options are cheap or expensive decides the structure: long calls, spreads, or selling premium. The thesis picks the direction; the vol picks the vehicle.

  • Expiry from the thesis. The option's expiry comes from how long the thesis needs to play out, tested head-to-head on cost per day of exposure. Never a default month.

❓ Common questions

What is an options trading newsletter?

An options trading newsletter is a recurring publication that delivers researched trade ideas built around options strategies, typically a directional thesis on a stock or ETF plus a specific options structure to express it. The Resilient Trader publishes one such idea per week, free, with the entry, strikes, expiry, break-even, and risk plan spelled out.

Is it really free?

Yes. The weekly issue is free and complete. We make money from the optional Pro tier and from our options education course, not by holding back the trade.

Do I need options experience?

No. Every idea includes a plain share trade alongside the options structure, and each options play explains its mechanics, cost, and maximum risk. If you want to build the foundation properly, our Options Trading in 21 Days course goes deep.

When does it arrive?

Once a week, every week. The day flexes with the market. We publish when the idea is ready, not to hit a calendar slot.
